The Power of Global Connections: Insights from the Great Investments Programme

There’s a particular thrill in meeting clients face-to-face, and when those meetings happen across the globe, the experience becomes even more enriching.

As part of the Great Investments Programme, my journey of sifting through 10,000 stocks and 7,000 exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has been more than a financial endeavour—it’s been an incredible opportunity to connect with people from every corner of the world.

Investment decisions often hinge on understanding local markets, trends, and nuances. Meeting clients in Dubai, for instance, reveals a focus on wealth preservation and legacy planning, while New York clients bring a dynamic, high-growth perspective.

In India, there’s an enthusiasm for rapid development and technology-led investments, whereas the UK demonstrates a thoughtful balance between volatility and rapid portfolio growth to make up for previous years with poor fund managers and IFAs.

These interactions have taught me that while numbers may drive investment decisions, the stories behind the numbers—personal goals, family aspirations, and regional outlooks—are equally significant.

A Shared Passion for Growth

What unites these diverse locations is a shared passion for achieving growth, whether through carefully curated stock portfolios or innovative ETF strategies.

Clients have joined the programme to overcome challenges like underperforming pensions or the sheer complexity of navigating global markets.

Together, we’re making strides by identifying unique opportunities in every sector and region, leveraging the expertise of the world’s leading hedge funds and wealth managers.

But what truly stands out are the personal stories clients share—like a South Asian entrepreneur in London determined to create generational wealth or a retired expat in Dubai navigating complex offshore portfolios.

Looking Ahead: 2025 and Beyond

The horizon is as exciting as it is expansive. In 2025, I look forward to meeting clients in South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada, Norway, and Switzerland. Each destination brings its own economic backdrop and opportunities, and I’m eager to explore how the programme can make a tangible difference in these markets.

Ultimately, the greatest joy lies in building relationships. The Great Investments Programme isn’t just about delivering exceptional returns; it’s about understanding clients’ unique journeys and helping them turn ambitions into achievements.

Sitting across the table—whether it’s in a Manhattan skyscraper or a Dubai café—adds an irreplaceable human touch to what could otherwise be a sterile, numbers-driven process.
